Communities Program
- Why
This is a “proof of concept “ project that seeks to increase access to smart devices for households in poor communities in the unserved and underserved parts, which can help reduce household poverty and illiteracy while also contributing to a critical mass usage of ICT and adoption that can bring down the cost of internet.
- How
This program is being implemented through distribution of free dual grid and solar powered tablets preinstalled with data connectivity renewable for a period of six (6) months and some relevant basic local content providing tablet devices to underserved communities, offering digital skilling programs including basic saft and hardware maintenance for the tablets , and sharing research findings and learnings from the program.
