UCC, ITU hand over to Govt Sh1b flood-warning system

Effective November 19, 2015, the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) will hand over the management of the $300,000 (about UGX1B) Flood early warning systems in Butaleja District to the Office of the Prime Minister while the ownership of the same system will be transferred to Butaleja District Local Government.

Michael Gozzard to grace the 2015 Uganda Film Festival

Critically acclaimed screen writer and film producer Mr. Michael Gozzard will grace this years' Festival as the main Trainer.

Gozzard is best known for films like Pride starring Empire star Terrance Howard and Emmy winner, the late comedian Bernie Mac, The Collector and Legion of Ghosts. Mr. Gozzard now owns Pennlyn Production in Los Angeles.
